The Use of Different Waste Mulch Materials Against Weeds Which are Problems in Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) Cultivation

Study was carried out in two different locations (L1: Yüzbaşılar village and L2: TUAM (Iğdır University Agricultural Application Research Center) 2020 to determine the effect of waste mulch materials on weed control tomato yield. In study, five (tree heaven, fine sawdust, wood chips, shredded paper sheep wool) were used. Each plot has weed-free group. The effects mulching weeding, dry weight, yield (kg/da), fruit weight (gr) number per plant (pieces) investigated. Three counts made density plots. As a result total 17 species belonging 9 families determined experimental areas. counts, it observed that Sorghum halepense L., Convolvulus arvensis L. Xanthium strumarium weeds emerged most plots where laid. Depending location, lowest among obtained from average 97.63; 73.12 gr/m2), highest tree paradise 191.87; 165.27 gr/m2) best results 6.078.50; 6.807.87 kg/da) 142.67; 147.35 gr)) use mulch. fruits chips 45.774.83/ pieces) heaven leaves (L2: 46.627.41/pieces). fact applications give better than groups suggests mulches will be much more beneficial for controlling improving quality.
